I just published an extension for adding tags to bookmarks in Chrome because I wanted them for some research I am doing. It's the first release of the extension so isn't as pretty as it will be in the future but I'm looking for feedback...

Until and unless Chrome's bookmark functionality is as good as Firefox's, I am not going to use Chrome as my default browser.

err - i'm not so sure that's an "explanation" per se but rather a "this is how you use our service called Google Bookmarks while we work out the kinks"

I can't imagine why they wouldn't do it - this release appears to focus on some major "under the hood" changes to improve speed, performance, and security opposed to feature perks IMHO.

i agree. i'm glad i didn't have to waste anymore time trying to figure out how to integrate them, but come on google! i love my google bookmarks and they aren't always things that i've visited in the past 2 weeks. i might be stuck using slower browsers until bookmarks become integrated.

thanks for verifying there isn't an integration with Google Bookmarks - I was quite surprised to as I haven't really found a practical way to integrate them and thought this might be the holy grail. I'm just installing Precipitate. A Google Bookmark/Chrome bookmark integration would really rock!

Actually, this function (recently closed tabs) exists in Chrome. It is embedded in the page that appears when you open a new tab

How can I rearrange Chrome bookmarks? I want to move categories to be under different parent folders.

I am unimpressed with Chrome's handling of bookmarks, too. I rely heavily upon Google Bookmarks since I can access them anywhere, and I am surprised they don't allow users to customize what app or service the bookmarks button uses, be it Google Bookmarks or any number of online bookmarking services. I *really* hope they'll integrate that in the future. And what of RSS support?

i've been using Chrome for about a day now and it seems to be a lot faster than FireFox or IE... though i do miss the "recently closed tabs" feature in Firefox
